The subject of last year’s incredibly successful conference was performance through adversity. For 2009 the conference takes the theme Routes to Recovery and will look at moving the economy forward, debate the future of British industry as we begin to emerge from recession and discuss the potential routes that economic progress can take.
The conference will once again feature a superb selection of speakers from across the political and business spectrum. Last year, the conference had a surprise address from the prime minister, Gordon Brown, at what turned out to be a pivotal time for the economy – a time of fiscal action.
The conference will yet again have the high calibre of business, economic and political speakers that our members expect. This is surely the most important CBI conference of this century so far.
